On Wednesday, August 22nd, 2022 at 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT, USGS's Water Resources Mission Area hosted a public webinar on transitioning to Next Generation WaterAlert.
WaterAlert is a notification service offered by the USGS to alert users of certain water conditions. Check out Next Generation WaterAlert now: https://accounts.waterdata.usgs.gov/wateralert/
Users of Legacy WaterAlert must transition their alerts to the NextGen system during the designated transition window to retain their alerts. After the transition window closes, legacy subscription information will no longer be accessible. In this circumstance, users can re-create their alerts from scratch in the new system.
Users have from August 22 - September 30, 2022 to transition.
