Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Survival of juvenile mussels (Lampsilis siliquoidea) exposed to 6PPD and transformation products Survival of juvenile mussels (Lampsilis siliquoidea) exposed to 6PPD and transformation products

This data set includes mortality data from acute toxicity tests with juveniles of the mussel, Lampsilis siliquoidea exposed to 6PPD and 6PPDQ. Concurrently collected analytical chemistry and general water quality measurements are included.

Detection and quantification of 6PPD-quinone in small mouth bass and whole-body coho salmon fry using two sample preparation methods, accelerated solvent extraction and sonication with centrifugation extraction Detection and quantification of 6PPD-quinone in small mouth bass and whole-body coho salmon fry using two sample preparation methods, accelerated solvent extraction and sonication with centrifugation extraction

Concentrations of 6PPD-quinone, a primary transformation product of the rubber tire additive 6PPD, were measured in small mouth bass that were not exposed to 6PPD-quinone and used as quality control fish matrix for method optimization and in whole-body coho salmon fry that were exposed to known water concentrations of 6PPD-quinone during 96-hour acute toxicity exposures. Two different...

GIS Data for Geologic Map of the Hailey 1 x 2 Degree Quadrangle, Idaho GIS Data for Geologic Map of the Hailey 1 x 2 Degree Quadrangle, Idaho

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides a digital geospatial database for the geologic map of the Hailey 1 x 2 degree quadrangle, Idaho (Worl and others, 1991). Attribute tables and geospatial features (lines and polygons) conform to the Geologic Map Schema (USGS NCGMP, 2020) and represent the geologic map as published in Idaho Geological Survey Geologic Map 10 (Worl and...

RSPARROW versions of previously developed SAS-based models of streamflow, suspended-sediment, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus conditions in the Midwest, Northeast, Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest Regions of the United States for water years 2000 - RSPARROW versions of previously developed SAS-based models of streamflow, suspended-sediment, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus conditions in the Midwest, Northeast, Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest Regions of the United States for water years 2000 -

The USGS Spatially Referenced Regression on Watershed attributes (SPARROW) model is a hybrid empirical/process-based mass balance model that can be used to estimate the major sources and environmental factors that affect the supply, transport, and fate of contaminants in streams and surface-water impoundments (Schwarz and others, 2006). This data release includes a set of 20 regional...

River Depth, Water Velocity, and Direction at Three Locations Collected in 2021 and 2022 on the Allegheny River Downstream of the Kinzua Dam, Pennsylvania River Depth, Water Velocity, and Direction at Three Locations Collected in 2021 and 2022 on the Allegheny River Downstream of the Kinzua Dam, Pennsylvania

This dataset contains river depth, water velocity, and direction data at three focal areas of research included in the Sustainable Rivers Program (SRP) in the Allegheny River on three dates in 2021 and 2022, at two different river conditions (10,500/10,800 cubic feet per second (cfs) and 6,600 cfs as recorded at USGS gage Allegheny River at West Hickory - 03016000). Data was collected...

Annotated Underwater Images of Round Goby (Neogobius melanostomus) in the Great Lakes from 2020-2023 to Support Deep Learning and Fisheries Assessment Annotated Underwater Images of Round Goby (Neogobius melanostomus) in the Great Lakes from 2020-2023 to Support Deep Learning and Fisheries Assessment

This dataset contains more than 37,000 high-resolution images of natural lake bottom habitats containing round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) captured by autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Round goby are invasive to the Laurentian Great Lakes, but are an important prey item for economically valuable predators, and thus of interest to managers. Individual round goby within each image...
