Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Campaign GPS measurements on the Island of Hawaiʻi collected by the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory in 2021 Campaign GPS measurements on the Island of Hawaiʻi collected by the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory in 2021

This release includes data collected during campaign GPS surveys at Kīlauea and Mauna Loa Volcanoes on the Island of Hawaiʻi in 2021. It includes data from a total of 63 sites occupied from January 1 to December 31, 2021. For each site, we include its measured raw data in daily files, Receiver INdependent EXchange (RINEX) files for each day, field log sheet(s), and associated metadata...

High-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey of the Republic Graben, Okanogan and Kettle metamorphic core complexes, Kootenay Arc and surrounding regions, Northeastern Washington High-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey of the Republic Graben, Okanogan and Kettle metamorphic core complexes, Kootenay Arc and surrounding regions, Northeastern Washington

The Republic survey consists of high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric data designed to image the subsurface geology and structure of a large portion of northeastern Washington. These data are intended for rigorous modeling and interpretation of the geology and structure in this region and will be used to evaluate the potential for undiscovered resources and will contribute to USGS...

Produced water chemistry data collected from the Oxnard Oil Field, Ventura County, and the Placerita Oil Field, Los Angeles County, 2018, California Produced water chemistry data collected from the Oxnard Oil Field, Ventura County, and the Placerita Oil Field, Los Angeles County, 2018, California

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the California State Water Resources Control Board collected produced water and gas samples in the Oxnard Oil Field in Ventura County in August 2018 and the Placerita Oil Field in Los Angeles County in December 2018. Sampled sites included oil wells; injectate from tanks, pipelines, and injection wells where produced water from many...

Miscellaneous Microtremor Array Datasets from the Puget Lowland, Washington State Miscellaneous Microtremor Array Datasets from the Puget Lowland, Washington State

Abstract: We compile three microtremor array datasets acquired in three campaigns in the Seattle and Tacoma basins, Washington State. These datasets were acquired between 2007 and 2018. Dataset 1 includes seven sites in the western Seattle and Tacoma basins acquired to image shear-wave velocity (Vs) in the upper 1 km that are suitable for analysis with microtremor methods not requiring...

This data package is comprised of one table with genetic data from Brant (Branta bernicla). Data include sampling location and allele sizes of 14 microsatellite loci.

Seamless Integrated Geologic Map Database of the Intermountain West: Contributions to The National Geologic Map (ver. 2.0, October 2024) Seamless Integrated Geologic Map Database of the Intermountain West: Contributions to The National Geologic Map (ver. 2.0, October 2024)

This dataset is intended to provide seamless, integrated geologic mapping of the U.S. Intermountain West region and is supported by the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program of the U.S. Geological Survey. Surficial and bedrock geology are included in this data release as independent datasets at a variable resolution from 1:50,000 to 1:250,000 scale. Initial contributions to this...
