Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Field data for evaluation of the LISST-SL2, an in-stream particle-size analyzer, at selected rivers in Washington and Virginia, 2018-20 Field data for evaluation of the LISST-SL2, an in-stream particle-size analyzer, at selected rivers in Washington and Virginia, 2018-20
Measurements of suspended-sediment concentration and particle-size distribution were made in selected rivers located in Washington and Virginia with an in-stream, particle-size analyzer that uses laser-diffraction methods to measure the concentration and size of suspended particles. Measurements were made in 11 rivers from 2018 to 2019 using the LIST-SL2, a second-generation streamlined...
Comprehensive Global Database of Earthquake-Induced Landslide Events and Their Impacts (ver. 2.0, February 2022) Comprehensive Global Database of Earthquake-Induced Landslide Events and Their Impacts (ver. 2.0, February 2022)
Currently, there are many datasets describing landslides caused by individual earthquakes, and global inventories of earthquake-induced landslides (EQIL). However, until recently, there were no datasets that provide a comprehensive description of the impacts of earthquake-induced landslide events. In this data release, we present an up-to-date, comprehensive global database containing...
Model Archive Summary for Suspended-Sediment Concentration at Station 11185185 – Upper Sensor; Suisun Bay at Mallard Island, California – Water Years 2018-2020 Model Archive Summary for Suspended-Sediment Concentration at Station 11185185 – Upper Sensor; Suisun Bay at Mallard Island, California – Water Years 2018-2020
This model archive summary details the suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) model developed to compute 15-minute SSC values from 15-minute turbidity data for the period October 01, 2017 through September 30, 2020. The methods used follow U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) guidance as referenced in Office of Water Quality Technical Memorandum 2016.10 (USGS 2016) and USGS Techniques and...
Observations of survival and hatch of developing pallid sturgeon embryos in relation to experimental substrate and sediment cover Observations of survival and hatch of developing pallid sturgeon embryos in relation to experimental substrate and sediment cover
This dataset documents the number of normally developed hatched free embryos, abnormally developed hatched free embryos, and viable unhatched embryos from two laboratory trials (shovelnose sturgeon during April and pallid sturgeon during May 2016) in substrate conditions designed to simulate potential fates within a dynamic riverine environment. Trials were performed with substrate...
Data and archive for a groundwater flow model of the Treasure Valley aquifer system, southwestern Idaho, 1986-2015 Data and archive for a groundwater flow model of the Treasure Valley aquifer system, southwestern Idaho, 1986-2015
This model archive contains the MODFLOW 6 model used to simulate groundwater flow in the Treasure Valley for 1986 through 2015. The simulated results are described in the associated U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper xxxx. The model archive includes the MODFLOW 6 model, PEST parameter estimation files, and a collection of python scripts that were used to develop the model. The...
40Ar/39Ar data from the Gidami gold deposit, Egypt 40Ar/39Ar data from the Gidami gold deposit, Egypt
This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar data from the U.S. Geological Survey for samples from the Gidami gold deposit in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Rock samples were collected by Basem Zoheir--Benha University/University of Kiel. Potassium-bearing mineral grains were separated from the bulk sample and analyzed by argon geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Bascom ARgon Dating (BARD)
