Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Jurabi, Exmouth, Western Australia, 2016 Coral Reef Circulation and Sediment Dynamics Experiment Jurabi, Exmouth, Western Australia, 2016 Coral Reef Circulation and Sediment Dynamics Experiment
Carbonate reefs are a major source of sediment for coastlines in much of the tropical regions of the world, contributing to significant shoreline accretion and beach nourishment. A collaborative experiment between the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of Western Australia was conducted on Ningaloo Reef, northwest Australia, to investigate this problem and determine the primary
Stream Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, Conductivity, and Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) in River Basins of Northwest Alaska, 2017-2024 Stream Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, Conductivity, and Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) in River Basins of Northwest Alaska, 2017-2024
This dataset includes continuous data on water temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) from low-order streams and main-stem rivers in Northwestern Alaska. Water temperatures were determined using a HOBO Water Temp Pro v2 (Onset Computer Corporation, Bourne, MA, USA) with ±0.2 °C accuracy. Dissolved oxygen was measured using HOBO U26...
Monitoring mortality of brown treesnakes fed an oral toxicant (acetaminophen) in an external bait placement dosing technique in the laboratory, 2017 Monitoring mortality of brown treesnakes fed an oral toxicant (acetaminophen) in an external bait placement dosing technique in the laboratory, 2017
Accidentally introduced to Guam, the brown treesnake (BTS) has extirpated nearly all native forest birds and imposed cost millions of dollars in economic damages annually. Acetaminophen is a safe and effective oral toxicant for invasive BTS, and an automated aerial delivery system (ADS) has been developed for landscape-scale distribution and snake suppression. An 80 milligram dose has...
T. bryosalmonae detection in fish and water, DNA sequence, and simple sequence repeat data collected in the Inter-Mountain West from 2011 to 2019 T. bryosalmonae detection in fish and water, DNA sequence, and simple sequence repeat data collected in the Inter-Mountain West from 2011 to 2019
This data release contains molecular diagnostic results and molecular detection of the myxozoan parasite Tetracapsuloides byrosalmonae in fish tissue and environmental DNA samples collected from the inter-mountain West, USA.
Precipitation and soil-moisture data from the Two Towers landslide, Trinity County, California Precipitation and soil-moisture data from the Two Towers landslide, Trinity County, California
We performed hourly monitoring of precipitation and soil moisture at the Two Towers landslide located in northern California near the town of Zenia. Data were acquired January 19, 2017 to April 29, 2020. Rainfall was measured near the center of the landslide using a tipping-bucket rain gauge with resolution of 0.254 mm and accuracy of ±2% to 250 mm/h (resolutions and accuracies stated...
MODFLOW-NWT model used to simulate groundwater levels in the Cedar River alluvial aquifer near Cedar Rapids, Iowa MODFLOW-NWT model used to simulate groundwater levels in the Cedar River alluvial aquifer near Cedar Rapids, Iowa
A three-dimensional MODFLOW-NWT model was constructed to better understand the effects of drought stress on the Cedar River alluvial aquifer, the principal source of municipal water for the City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Historically, the aquifer supported the production needs of the City of Cedar Rapids and surrounding area but between July 2011 and February 2013, Iowa experienced severe...
