Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Radiocarbon, U-series, and amino acid chronology data for late Quaternary marine terraces in coastal Santa Barbara County, California, USA Radiocarbon, U-series, and amino acid chronology data for late Quaternary marine terraces in coastal Santa Barbara County, California, USA
In several early studies, central California marine terraces between Santa Barbara and Point Conception were interpreted to record sea-level high stands of the last interglacial complex, ~80 ka to ~120 ka (marine isotope stage [MIS] 5). These ages and their elevations (~20 m to ~45 m) indicate modest rates of tectonic uplift, similar to those from other localities in southern and central
Digital database of previously published subsurface unit tops from the three-dimensional geologic model used for the 2003 National Oil and Gas Assessment of the San Joaquin Basin Province, California Digital database of previously published subsurface unit tops from the three-dimensional geologic model used for the 2003 National Oil and Gas Assessment of the San Joaquin Basin Province, California
This data release provides digital geospatial data related to the three-dimensional geologic model (Hosford Scheirer, 2013) that was used as a framework for conducting the 2003 oil and gas assessment of the San Joaquin Basin province, California (Gautier and others, 2004; Hosford Scheirer, ed., 2007). The data release includes raster GeoTIFF files of the tops of the 15 composite geologic...
Soil-Water-Balance (SWB) Model Archive Used to Simulate Potential Recharge with Projections for Future Climate Scenarios, Saco River Basin, Maine and New Hampshire Soil-Water-Balance (SWB) Model Archive Used to Simulate Potential Recharge with Projections for Future Climate Scenarios, Saco River Basin, Maine and New Hampshire
This model archive makes available the Soil-Water-Balance (SWB) model used to simulate potential recharge for the Saco Headwaters Watershed. This model was used to simulate potential recharge (net infiltration) for use in a groundwater model in the same region to understand the effects of water bottling. The model was used to produce a historical simulation (2000 -2021) and a series of...
MODFLOW 6 Datasets for a Groundwater-flow Model in the Saco River Basin, New Hampshire and Maine MODFLOW 6 Datasets for a Groundwater-flow Model in the Saco River Basin, New Hampshire and Maine
A MODFLOW 6 groundwater model for the Wards Brook aquifer in New Hampshire and Maine was developed to understand the effects of groundwater withdrawals for historical and potential future conditions. The model assesses how groundwater withdrawals, including for bottled water, affect base flows from Wards Brook, groundwater levels, and pond levels under different scenarios. Model runs...
Seismic catalogue derived from the 2023 Kīlauea Seismic Imaging Experiment, Kīlauea, Hawai'i, USA Seismic catalogue derived from the 2023 Kīlauea Seismic Imaging Experiment, Kīlauea, Hawai'i, USA
This is a catalogue of the earthquake data recorded during the 2023 Kīlauea Seismic Imaging Experiment by a consortium of government and academic scientists under the auspices and with the coordination of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Park Service at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Steve Roecker (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) produced this catalogue and then...
Radiometric analysis (cesium-137 and lead-210) at selected depth intervals from borehole core of impounded sediments in Pahranagat Wash behind Arrow Canyon Dam, northern Clark County, Nevada Radiometric analysis (cesium-137 and lead-210) at selected depth intervals from borehole core of impounded sediments in Pahranagat Wash behind Arrow Canyon Dam, northern Clark County, Nevada
This data release from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) presents the results of radiometric analyses conducted on sediment samples collected in 2016 and 2019 from Pahranagat Wash, behind Arrow Canyon Dam in northern Clark County, Nevada. In 2016, core samples were collected from two well sites: USGS 364453114483401 (ACWEST) and USGS 364448114481001 (ACEAST). Additionally, a shallow...
