SAS code for analyzing water temperature data SAS code for analyzing water temperature data
This code may be used to fit linear models with multivariate random effects and heterogeneous measurement-level residual variances. The code as written may be used to estimate associations between water temperature ('temp') and continuous year ('yearctr'), study reach (or field station; 'fs'), log-transformed mean July water discharge (in 1000 cms units; 'logmeanJulycms1000'), number of...
Sea lamprey quantitative environmental DNA surveillance Sea lamprey quantitative environmental DNA surveillance
The data set is six separate csv files. Four of which contain the quantity of DNA copy numbers and fluor used to analyze the DNA quantities collected from water samples from four separate portions of the study (adult SL field, adult SL lab, larval SL field, larval SL lab) and need to be in their own csv file. Also included is a csv with adult SL trapping data, a csv for larval SL...
SeismoTectonic Regime Earthquake Calculator (STREC) SeismoTectonic Regime Earthquake Calculator (STREC)
Automatically determines the earthquake type (subduction zone interface, active crustal shallow, stable continental region, etc.) and the earthquake focal mechanism.

Software - MODFLOW Software - MODFLOW
MODFLOW is the USGS's modular hydrologic model. MODFLOW is considered an international standard for simulating and predicting groundwater conditions and groundwater/surface-water interactions.
Software release: ModelArchiver and FgdcMetaEditor Software release: ModelArchiver and FgdcMetaEditor
ModelArchiver is a program for creating groundwater model archives that meet USGS policy requirements. FgdcMetaEditor is a program for editing metadata for geographic information in the form specified the by Federal Geographic Data Committee. This software release contains compiled versions of both programs along with source code and example data.
Software Release: Volume-Weighted Particle-Tracking Method for Solute-Transport Modeling: Implementation in MF2K-GWT Software Release: Volume-Weighted Particle-Tracking Method for Solute-Transport Modeling: Implementation in MF2K-GWT
The Ground-Water Transport (GWT) Process for MODFLOW-2000 (mf2k) provides the capability to simulate three-dimensional solute transport. The GWT Process is based on the previously documented MOC3D model, which was integrated with MODFLOW-96. This data release includes compiled versions of the software, source code, documentation, and the input and output for several test cases.

Software to Process and Preserve Legacy Magnetotelluric Data Software to Process and Preserve Legacy Magnetotelluric Data
The USGS Crustal Geophysics and Geochemistry Science Center (CGGSC) collaborated with the USGS Data at Risk (DaR) team to preserve and release a subset of magnetotelluric data from the San Andreas Fault in Parkfield, California. The San Andreas Fault data were collected by the Branch of Geophysics, a precursor to the now CGGSC, between 1989 and 1994. The magnetotelluric data selected for...
SPARROW modeling: Estimating contaminant transport SPARROW modeling: Estimating contaminant transport
SPARROW (SPAtially Referenced Regression On Watershed attributes) models estimate the amount of a contaminant transported from inland watersheds to larger water bodies by linking monitoring data with information on watershed characteristics and contaminant sources.
SSR_pipeline: Computer Software for the Identification of Microsatellite Sequences from Paired-End Illumina High-Throughput DNA Sequence Data SSR_pipeline: Computer Software for the Identification of Microsatellite Sequences from Paired-End Illumina High-Throughput DNA Sequence Data
SSR_pipeline is a flexible set of programs designed to efficiently identify simple sequence repeats (SSRs; for example, microsatellites) from paired-end high-throughput Illumina DNA sequencing data.
