- National Vegetation Classification-Class Land Use — This web service provides a visualization of the U.S. National Vegetation Classification for the Class level. At the Class level vegetation types are distinguished based on dominant growth form (for example – Forest & Woodland).
- National Vegetation Classification-Subclass Land Use — This web service provides a visualization of the U.S. National Vegetation Classification for the Subclass level. At the Subclass level vegetation types are based on dominant and diagnostic growth forms and global macroclimatic factors (for example – Temperate & Boreal Forest & Woodland).
- National Vegetation Classification-Formation Land Use — This web service provides a visualization of the U.S. National Vegetation Classification for the Formation level. At the Formation level vegetation types are distinguished by dominant and diagnostic growth forms and global macroclimate factors as modified by altitude, seasonality of precipitation, substrates and hydrologic conditions (for example – Cool Temperate Forest & Woodland).
- National Vegetation Classification-Division Land Use — This web service provides a visualization of the U.S. National Vegetation Classification for the Division level. At the Division level vegetation types are distinguished by combinations of growth forms, broad diagnostic plant species, and continental differences in mesoclimate, geology, substrates, hydrology, and disturbance regimes (for example – Vancouverian Cool Temperate Forest & Woodland).
