Obtaining content or services from a large group of people and leveraging public-generated data such as from social media.
Citizen Science
Involving members of the public participating in the scientific process, such as providing observations, collecting and analyzes data, as well as interprets the results of the data.
Open Innovation
Refering to a variety of participatory approaches for engaging with the public to enhance USGS science. It enhances the quality and quanity of USGS science.
