Laboratories 

The Environmental Chemistry Branch has a modern laboratory facility with dedicated spaces for sample preparation, inorganic and organic analyses.  Steps to minimize background contamination and to protect sample integrity have been incorporated into the laboratory design.

Analytical Equipment 

Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) systems:

  • 2 Thermo Trace Ultra GCs with ISQ MS
  • Agilent 6890 GC coupled to a Waters Autospec magnetic sector high resolution MS
  • Agilent 6890 GC with a 5973N mass selective detector

  • Waters Synapt G2-Si quadrupole time-of-flight MS (LC-QTOF-MS)
