Bridget Bittmann

Bridget Bittmann (she/her) is a Physical Scientist with the Upper Midwest Water Science Center on the Groundwater and Watershed Modeling Team in Madison, Wisconsin.

Bridget’s current research focuses on the assessing the impacts of groundwater extractions on groundwater and surface water interactions in the Great Lakes region using a GFLOW model, estimating groundwater recharge using the Soil Water Balance (SWB) model, and compiling and analyzing datasets for future groundwater modeling efforts. She is passionate about learning how to build reproducible workflows and working with collaborators to explore local groundwater issues. Bridget’s background includes using data analysis and statistical modeling to inform local and regional water availability investigations.
