Christine Eustis
(She/Her)Ms. Christine Eustis is the Associate Director for the Office of Communications and Publishing (OCAP) at the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
In this role, Ms. Eustis leads communication and outreach to support all of the USGS programs, regions, and centers in sharing the bureau’s science through external and internal digital and media communications, congressional relations and the Science Publishing Network. Ms. Eustis joined the USGS in September 2021 as the Deputy Associate Director of OCAP.
Ms. Eustis has more than 28 years of science communication experience. Prior to joining the USGS, she served in several communication leadership roles at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service including as the Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of External Affairs and the Chief of Congressional and Legislative Affairs. Ms. Eustis started her federal career as a Presidential Management Fellow for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and spent a year with the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee working on Endangered Species Act reauthorization.
Ms. Eustis is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where she earned her Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Franklin and Marshall College.
