Colin Peake
Colin Peake is a Physical Scientist for the USGS, Central Midwest Water Science Center in Urbana, Illinois.
Currently Colin works as a Physical Scientist mainly on our nutrient super gages. He manages the gages to maximize data quality, troubleshoot the majority of the issues, and constantly works to improve the data collected from these gages. This requires a lot of innovation and imagination because we want to put these sensors in places they were not designed or meant to go. He is a leader in phosphate sensors; helping bring this technology into the world of surface water by guiding manufactures on product and software design. Colin has also collaborated with numerous USGS Science Centers bringing together a wide scope of phosphorus sensing capabilities.
