Danielle Kitchen
Danielle Kitchen serves as the Branch Chief for the Wildlife Branch at the USGS Wetland and Aquatic Research Center.
Danielle joined the USGS as a Branch Chief for the Wetland and Aquatic Research Center after 15 years with the Department of the Navy. Her background is as a marine biologist and acoustician. She is an experienced environmental policy and research professional, with extensive expertise collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including state and federal agencies, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, and international entities. She currently oversees a diverse staff of scientists who conduct research on wetland and aquatic species and their habitats, with a primary focus on research in the southeast U.S.
