Fisseha Mengistu
Fisseha Mengistu is a Hydrologic Technician at the USGS MD-DE-DC Water Science Center in Catonsville, MD.
Currently conducting real-time water-quality data collection and monitoring on several streams in Maryland and Washington DC. I have been exposed and worked for a number of years in the area of soil conservation, water resources management, and soil and water research in the laboratory and in the field; and currently, I have strong background in the following areas:
- Geographic information systems (ArcGIS, ArcView and others)
- Project planning (Natural Resources conservation)
- Soil sampling, processing and classification
- Customer Toolkit
- Statistical and hydrological modeling technique and application
- Water quality sampling
