Beginning January 4, 2024, Dr. Howard Caro-López began serving as the Acting Director of the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (DEO). In this role, Howard provides guidance, training, and other assistance on equal employment opportunity (EEO) and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) related matters to managers, supervisors, and employees. He also manages the discrimination complaints programs and coordinates hearings and appeals with the Department of the Interior (DOI), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and DOI’s Office of the Solicitor.
