Jacob E Poletti, M.S.

Jacob is a geologist at the Geology, Minerals, Energy and Geophysics Science Center in Spokane, WA. Jacob received an A.S. in General Studies from Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA in 2010; a B.S. in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2012; and an M.S. in Geological Sciences from UCSB in 2015. His current work for USGS is centered around critical minerals.

Jacob's research interests and expertise lie in geochronology, geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, igneous petrology, and heavy mineral separation, particularly as they pertain to minerals of critical economic importance.
