Cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts in the Pacific Cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts in the Pacific
Co-rich Fe-Mn crusts occur throughout the Pacific on seamounts, ridges, and plateaus where currents have kept the rocks swept clean of sediments at least intermittently for millions of years.
