Kevin Kunkel
Since 2014, Mr. Kunkel has been Chief of the Branch of International Science Support within the Office of International Programs. He manages USGS international travel approvals and international agreements with USGS partners.
Prior to USGS, Mr. Kunkel served for 17 years as an International Program Specialist at other Bureaus within the U.S. Department of the Interior, first at the Minerals Management Service and later at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. There he managed technical and programmatic assistance projects in over 20 countries in areas ranging from offshore oil and gas regulatory development to natural resource economics and international trade.
