Michele Wolf
Michele is a Quality expert with 25+ years of quality management experience developing and implementing quality management systems for more than 80 private and Federal organizations. She is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and an International Registry of Certified Auditors Lead Auditor.
Michele is the US Geological Survey (USGS) Energy and Minerals Mission Area (EMMA) Quality Management System (QMS) Manager where her primary areas of expertise include:
- Ensuring the effective and efficient implementation and operation of the EMMA QMS through the establishment of comprehensive policies, procedures, guidance, and rigorous internal controls.
- Developing and establishing the EMMA audit program to include audits of approximately 81 laboratories, 177 staff, and 200 SOPs in five Science Centers geographically distributed across the US.
- Presenting workshops and training sessions within the USGS, and at National Conferences, on various topics including establishing and maintaining quality management systems, continuous improvement, quality culture, risk-based thinking, internal controls (quality controls and management controls), root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, implementing and understanding ISO standards and establishing audit programs for private and Federal organizations.
