Pennsylvania Groundwater Watch

September 28, 2022

Pennsylvania Groundwater Watch provides access to groundwater level data from 108 sites in the USGS Active Groundwater Level Network for Adams, Chester, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Pike Counties. Water levels at each site are measured monthly to monitor for local pumping effects and changes to drought conditions.

To begin viewing the data, click on a tab under the USGS Banner with a county name, or click inside the county. Then click on a well on the county map to generate plots and tables relating the most recently collected groundwater levels to historical data from that site. Percentiles are only calculated for wells with six or more years of data.

All data presented in this mapper is sourced from the National Water Information System, which contains water resources data collected from approximately 1.9 million sites in all 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
