5th International Planetary Dunes Workshop: St. George, UT, USA
The most recent workshop was held at Dixie State University in St. George, UT, USA. This has been added to our Workshop page. Check back regularly for abstracts, paper, and special issues from this meeting, which will be available in the coming months.
About the Consortium
This consortium and website were put together to facilitate exchange of information that pertains to Martian dune studies. Currently the consortium is made up of members from the USGS Astrogeology Team, Arizona State University, NASA Ames Research Center, and Planetary Science Institute. Group members are listed below.

Dr. Bourke is a Research Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson and a Senior Research Associate at the University of Oxford. She is interested in dune geomorphology on Mars and on Earth. Read more about Dr. Bourke's research here.

Dr. Fenton is a Principal Investigator at the Carl Sagan Center in Moffett Field, CA, and works at NASA Ames Research Center. She studies recent climate change on Mars and how it is reflected by aeolian processes. For more information about Dr. Fenton's work click here.

Dr. Titus is a Space Scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Flagstaff, AZ. His research interests include Mars polar processes, thermal inertia studies, and Mars dunes. Click here for more information on Tim's research interests.

Fourth International Planetary Dunes Workshop (2015)
The 4th International Planetary Dunes Workshop, held in Boise, ID, USA, had 60 registered attendees representing 8 countries and 4 continents. These scientists presented the newest research on aeolian bedforms on Mars, Earth, Titan, and Venus, as well as the possibility of aeolian processes on comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The special issue for this workshop in Aeolian Research is now available online.
Third International Planetary Dunes Workshop (2012)
The 3rd IPDW presented new research on aeolian bedforms on Mars, Earth, Venus, Titan, Triton, and Pluto, significant advancements in data analysis and the use of field instruments such as the time-lapse camera, and discussion of the future of the Planetary Aeolian Laboratory. This year, papers written as a result of this workshop are now available online.
