Estimation of baseflow characteristics for selected reaches of the South Platte and Cache la Poudre Rivers, northeastern Colorado
Baseflow will be determined for selected reaches in the South Platte River by using a mass-balance approach and possibly by modifying conventional baseflow analysis techniques.
A determination of baseflow in the South Platte River is needed to help with calibration of ground-water models of the South Platte River as part of the Decision Support System.
OBJECTIVES:
- To estimate baseflow for the main stem South Platte River from about Chatfield Reservoir downstream to Julesburg
- To estimate baseflow for the Cache la Poudre River from station 06752000 downstream to the confluence with the South Platte River. For all objectives, baseflow will be estimated on a monthly basis.
