As a biological research center, FRESC conducts ecological research in the amazingly diverse ecosystems of western North America and beyond. Our research increases understanding of how biological systems function, how disturbances and threats affect species and habitats, and which methods most effectively promote restoration, conservation, and other management goals.

As a biological research center, FRESC conducts ecological research in the amazingly diverse ecosystems of western North America and beyond. Our nationally and internationally recognized scientists work from four locations in the Pacific Northwest and provide scientific information to management agencies, other partners, and the public to support management and conservation of natural resources.
