Other mineral commodities produced in the country included cement, fertilizers, direct-reduced iron, and urea. The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Trinidad and Tobago is provided by the Mineral Act, Chapter 61:03, of 2000. The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries is the Government entity responsible for the monitoring, enforcement, and regulation of the energy and mineral sectors. Most mineral commodities were produced by joint ventures with the Government and privately owned companies.

The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Trinidad and Tobago is provided by the Mineral Act, Chapter 61:03, of 2000. The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries is the Government entity responsible for the monitoring, enforcement, and regulation of the energy and mineral sectors. Most mineral commodities were produced by joint ventures with the Government and privately owned companies. In 2024, Trinidad and Tobago exported \$1.6 billion of anhydrous ammonia and Bulgaria, Morocco and Chile, in order of value, were the largest importers of anhydrous ammonia from Trinidad and Tobago.
