TART DATE: 11-SEP-2006
END DATE: 30-SEP-2007
PROJECT NUMBER: 2454CVN
STUDY OBJECTIVES:
Updated flood-frequency figures will be developed for the 5 USGS gaging stations along the Delaware River on New Jersey's western boundary. This work will be closely coordinated with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM:
Flooding along the New Jersey portion of the Delaware River in September 2004, April 2005, and June 2006 may have changed the flood frequency estimates. These estimates are used in the FEMA flood insurance studies, many of which are presently being updated.
