RDAVT RDAVT

RDAVT.r is an R Shiny-based app used to estimate immobile porosity, mobile porosity, and the mass transfer rate coefficient in dual-domain porosity media. The app allows for interactive fitting of the fluid versus bulk conductivity hysteresis curve from electrical tracer experiments using a semi-analytic graphical approach.

Geospatial Datasets of Water Surface Elevation and Water Depth in New York City, NY Associated with the Remnants of Hurricane Ida – September 1, 2021 Geospatial Datasets of Water Surface Elevation and Water Depth in New York City, NY Associated with the Remnants of Hurricane Ida – September 1, 2021

The remnants of Hurricane Ida produced significant rainfall over the five boroughs of New York City (NYC) for several hours on September 1st, 2021. The long-duration, high-intensity rainfall resulted in extensive inundation of streets, buildings, subways, and other public spaces. In response to a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) mission assignment, the U.S. Geological Survey...

High-Water Marks in the Five Boroughs of New York City from Flash Flooding Caused by the Remnants of Hurricane Ida, September 1, 2021 High-Water Marks in the Five Boroughs of New York City from Flash Flooding Caused by the Remnants of Hurricane Ida, September 1, 2021

This data release contains results of a high-water mark survey across the five boroughs of New York City following flash flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, September 1, 2021. The survey was conducted between September 7 and November 23, 2021, and is based on observations of mud, debris, and seed lines left by the flooding. Real time and static GNSS surveying as well as...

Time-domain Electromagnetic Soundings to Estimate the Extent of Saltwater Intrusion on Shelter Island, New York (2017-2018) Time-domain Electromagnetic Soundings to Estimate the Extent of Saltwater Intrusion on Shelter Island, New York (2017-2018)

Twenty-six time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) soundings were collected on Shelter Island, New York between March of 2017 and October of 2018. Soundings were collected using the Geonics ProTEM and ABEM WalkTEM acquisition systems. Depending on the size of the site, one of the following square-loop transmitter geometries was used: 1) 20 by 20 meter, 2) 40 by 40 meter, or 3) 100 by 100...
