Velocity and water-quality surveys in the Ohio River between Markland Locks and Dam and McAlpine Locks and Dam, Kentucky and Indiana, October 27-November 4, 2016, and June 26-29, 2017
Velocity and water-quality surveys were completed along an approximately 71-mile reach of the Ohio River between Markland Locks and Dam (river mile 531.5) and McAlpine Locks and Dam (river mile 606.8) on October 27-November 4, 2016 (survey #1), and June 26-29, 2017 (survey #2).

Geospatial datasets and hydraulic models for the Grand River, Red Cedar River and Sycamore Creek near Lansing, Michigan
Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses were done for selected reaches of the Grand River, Red Cedar River and Sycamore Creek near Lansing, Michigan. To update and expand a portion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency detailed Flood Insurance Study, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the City of Lansing initiated a cooperative study.

National Water Dashboard (NWD)
The National Water Dashboard (NWD) is a mobile, interactive tool that provides real-time information on water levels, weather, and flood forecasts - all in one place on a computer, smartphone, or other mobile device. The NWD presents real-time stream, lake and reservoir, precipitation, and groundwater data from more than 13,500 USGS observation stations across the country.
WaterAlert
The U.S. Geological Survey WaterAlert service sends e-mail or text (SMS) messages when certain parameters, as measured by a USGS real-time data-collection station, exceed user-definable thresholds. The development and maintenance of the WaterAlert system is supported by the USGS and its partners, including numerous federal, state, and local agencies.
Database for Water Availability Tool for Environmental Resources for the Delaware River Basin
This database was developed for the Water Availability Tool for Environmental Resources (WATER) for the Delaware River Basin (DRB), a decision support tool that provides a consistent and objective method of simulating streamflow under historical, forecasted, and managed conditions (Williamson and others, 2015). This database provides historical spatial and climatic data for si
Bathymetry of Morse and Geist Reservoirs in central Indiana, 2016
These data are high-resolution bathymetry (lake bottom elevation) in a gridded XYZ format, generated from hydrographic surveys of Morse and Geist Reservoirs in April and May of 2016. Hydrographic data were collected using a multibeam echo-sounder (MBES) with integrated inertial navigation solution (INS) mounted on a marine survey vessel. Data were collected as the vessel traversed t

Chemical and physical data for sediment source fingerprinting of suspended and bottom sediment in Black Creek, Indiana, tributary to the Maumee River and western Lake Erie - Fluvial-target samples
This data release includes physical and chemical data for samples from fluvial targets (streambed and suspended sediment) from three sampling sites in the Black Creek basin, Indiana. Data include total nitrogen and carbon concentrations, carbon species, total concentrations for 42 metals, and particle-size analysis. Fluvial-target samples include both soft, streambed sediment and
Chemical and physical data for sediment source fingerprinting of suspended and bottom sediment in Black Creek, Indiana, tributary to the Maumee River and western Lake Erie - Source samples
This data release includes physical and chemical data for samples from upland-source and streambank sampling sites in the Black Creek basin, Indiana. Data include total nitrogen and carbon concentrations, carbon species, total concentrations for 42 metals, and particle-size analysis. Source samples were identified as one of five land-use types: active cropland (corn, soybean, h
