The USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center operates the 26-foot research vessel (R/V) San Lorenzo, a fiberglass boat built for Channel Islands diving operations that has been retrofitted to conduct science operations.
The San Lorenzo is a multipurpose research vessel, used in many coastal and lacustrine operations:
- sonar mapping
- chirp sub-bottom profiling
- dive operations support
- light instrument deployment and sampling

- Built in 1999 by D.R. Radon, Santa Barbara, CA
- Length: 26 ft
