Antimycin A cytotoxicity to rainbow trout gill cell line (RTgill-W1): Exploring a new screening approach for prioritizing pesticide candidates
This dataset describes in vitro Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) RTgill-W1gill cell cytotoxicity assay fluorescence data used to estimate the effective concentration to cause 50% viability (EC50) of cells following antimycin A (complex and individual homologs) exposure. Antimycin A dosing stocks were analytically verified using high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Test Guideline 249 Fish Cell Line Acute Toxicity: The RTgill-W1 Cell Line Assay and CellTiter-Glo 2.0 Assay were used to measure multiple cell viability responses. The OECD 249 assay cell viability endpoints include cell metabolic activity with AlamarBlue, lysosome membrane integrity using Neutral Red, and cell membrane integrity by 5-carboxyfluorescein diacetate acetoxymethyl ester (CFDA-AM). The CellTiter-Glo 2.0 assay quantifies adenosine triphosphate, which is indicative of metabolically active and viable cells.
