Electromagnetic, Seismic, Water Specific Conductance, and Water Depth Data from the Dolores River and Vicinity, Paradox Valley, Colorado, December 2023
This data release contains frequency domain electromagnetic (FDEM) and passive seismic horizontal to vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) geophysical data collected over and in the vicinity of the Dolores River in Paradox Valley, Colorado. The data collection area is comprised of an approximate 7-kilometer reach of the river and surrounding 100-meter buffer zone on both banks. Water depth and specific conductance data from a boat-based survey are also included, as well as a limited set of active seismic surveys collected and processed using the multichannel analysis of surface waves method (MASW). Raw data, processed inversions (FDEM electrical conductivity versus depth; HVSR resonant frequencies), and rasters of the estimated top of brine and base of alluvial aquifer (top of bedrock) are contained in the attached files. Additionally, a file with locations of likely enhanced brine discharge to the river is included. These data are supported by Terry and others (2025).
