This Memo to All Banders (MTAB 4) was released on July 25, 1966. Subject: Restriction on the use of chemicals in the capturing of wild migratory birds. There has been a recent increase in the use of tranquilizers as a means of capturing birds. Banders are reminded not to use such chemicals unless your Federal banding permit has cleared its use in your project and you have received specific written authorization.
