Desert tortoises navigate through renewable energy constructions

While constructions of renewable energy developments present challenges to desert tortoises, at this site, USGS researchers and collaborators have shown that desert tortoises navigate through and around such places in their travels to feed and find mates. New research quantifies the risks of such activities to the Threatened desert tortoise.
