Detailed Description
The USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory provided forecasts and warnings of eruptive activity during the spring and summer of 2018 for fissures along Kīlauea’s Lower East Rift Zone in lower Puna, Hawai‘i. Photograph shows lava fountains and channelized flow erupting from Fissure 8 spatter cone in the Leilani Estates subdivision on June 11, 2018.
