Fresh Mosquito larvae

Experiment: Ah, what a difference fresh specimens make, having retained their color, and a tweak of the technique, this mosquito larvae expired within 15 minutes or so of its picture being taken. You can see a great deal of detail here at 4x and by moving our set up further from the wall I reduced the illumination of the background cloth and got a blacker final product that was easy to photoshop out. Now we are getting somewhere. This final picture was cropped from the original by about 70%.
