Groundmother Earth Week Outreach

Louis Leader Charge demonstrated hydrologic data collection equipment for middle school and high school students at the St. Francis Indian School in St. Francis, SD, on the Rosebud Indian Reservation on April 20, 2015 for UNCI MAKA (Grandmother Earth) week. Louis also provided an overview of USGS activities and projects, such as water-resource information, Arc GIS, Landsat imagery, and his career as a Hydrologic Technician with the goal of raising interest in math and science and the importance of higher education.
