Detailed Description

Dams alter river ecosystems. GCMRC scientists study how hydropeaking and other dam operations affect ecosystem function. Using steady flows on weekends, GCMRC scientists understand how hyropeaking effects aquatic insects which are the foodbase for the Coloradro River ecosystem.
