Detailed Description

Northern slimy salamanders (top photo) were frequently found in moist leaf litter,  under rocks, and near streams and river banks, whereas Southern leopard frogs (lower photo) were found near  vernal pools, flooded ditches and fields, and within small crevices in dried mud during droughts.
