USGS scuba diver installing an oceanographic instrument to measure tides, waves, and currents in a sand channel on the coral reefs off San Juan, PR. Data from this and other instruments will provide information on how coral reefs protect the coast and guide how coral reef restoration may help reduce damage during future storms.
