Stratigraphy of the glacial aquifer system is complex

Detailed Description

Sorted glacial sediment, such as outwash, has larger grained sediment at the bottom and smaller grained sediment at the top. Unsorted glacial sediment, such as till, contains a mix of grain sizes. Groundwater flows more easily through sorted outwash sediments.  Learn more about the glacial aquifer system here.
