Twitter thread for Geological Society of America conference

Detailed Description
USGS scientists Jennifer Miselis and Daniel Ciarletta were invited to share their presentations for the Geological Society of America conference via Twitter threads so colleagues could experience their conference presentations virtually. Miselis tweeted about how exchanges of sediment between the shoreface, beaches, and dunes drive barrier island evolution and explored how humans may impact that process. Ciarletta’s Twitter presentation explained how he uses field and modeling approaches to study barrier island sensitivity to sediment flux, sea-level rise and storms.
