This mapper identifies U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) monitoring locations where data collection is at risk due to funding shortages, staffing constraints, loss of site access, or safety concerns. It also shows locations where monitoring has been discontinued and rescued/continued through new funding sources. The mapper reflects changes from the past 13 months.
  • USGS is seeking replacement funding for each at-risk activity. Without funding, some data collection may be discontinued.
