Detailed Description

Groundwater levels are measured for various purposes, including tracking climate conditions and monitoring changing conditions in response to withdrawals (pumping). The Virginia and West Virginia Groundwater Levels and Trends application displays recent water-level information for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) continuous groundwater monitoring wells in Virginia and West Virginia relative to long-term monthly statistics.
