The USGS Spectroscopy Laboratory hosted hyperspectral calibration and imaging from unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) training in June.

On June 3-5, the USGS Spectroscopy Laboratory on the Denver Federal Center hosted training on hyperspectral sensor calibration and hyperspectral visible to shortwave infrared (VSWIR) imaging from unmanned aircraft systems (UAS, also known as drones). HySpex trained USGS scientists, university, and industry participants from Europe and the U.S., including Colorado School of Mines, University of Wisconsin, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Green Aero Tech, and BFD systems.
