Logan Neal
Logan Neal is a Hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey Central Plains Water Science Center, based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Logan Neal is a Hydrologist with the Central Plains Water Science Center, primarily serving the Nebraska area. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering, with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016.
Logan began his career with the USGS Nebraska Water Science Center in 2012. He served four years as a student trainee before transitioning into a full-time Hydrologist role upon graduation. Throughout his tenure, he has specialized in the operation and maintenance of surface water, groundwater, and water-quality monitoring networks, as well as in the computation and approval of more complex hydrologic records.
His technical expertise includes advanced surveying (GNSS and Total Station), index-velocity site operations, and the collection and processing of indirect measurements. In addition to his regional work, Logan has contributed to international hydrologic capacity-building by providing technical training and support to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Energy and Water from 2018 through 2021.
