Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Random forest classification data developed from multitemporal Landsat 8 spectral data and phenology metrics for a subregion in Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, April 2013 – December 2020 Random forest classification data developed from multitemporal Landsat 8 spectral data and phenology metrics for a subregion in Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, April 2013 – December 2020
These data were compiled for the creation of a continuous, transboundary land cover map of Bird Conservation Region 33, Sonoran and Mojave Deserts (BCR 33). Objective(s) of our study were to, 1) develop a machine learning (ML) algorithm trained to classify vegetation land cover using remote sensing spectral data and phenology metrics from 2013-2020, over a large subregion of the Sonoran...

This dataset contains U-Pb isotopic data and associated ages of detrital zircon from sedimentary and metasedimentary rocks collected from southwestern Alaska and from the Yukon-Tanana upland and environs of eastern interior Alaska and western Yukon, Canada. The samples were collected as part of geological mapping and research conducted from 1996 to 2021 and funded by the Mineral...

Model archive summary (MAS), "381410121395801_MIR_ExpandedMAS.docx", describing the development of a continuous 15-minute suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) time series regression model for the site: Miner Slough near Rio Vista (U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) site # 381410121395801). The SSC time series is computed from instream turbidity data that is managed by the California...
Breeding Biology of Loon and Waterfowl Species on the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska during 1973-1975 Breeding Biology of Loon and Waterfowl Species on the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska during 1973-1975
This data package presents legacy loon and waterfowl breeding biology data collected at study sites near the Old Chevak Field Station on the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge (formerly the Clarence Rhode National Wildlife Range), Alaska during the summers of 1973 through 1975. These data were collected to provide a basis for the evaluation of long-term changes in loon (Pacific and Red...
Survival Data for Translocated Adults and Captive-Reared Juvenile Giant Gartersnakes in Sacramento County, California (2018-2021) Survival Data for Translocated Adults and Captive-Reared Juvenile Giant Gartersnakes in Sacramento County, California (2018-2021)
The dataset consists of two csv files one for adult snakes and one for captive-reared juvenile snakes. The data contains start times (when snakes entered the study) and end times (when snakes died or were censored from the study) for survival analysis. The data also contains general information about the individual snakes (id, snout-vent length, treatment group, whether or not they were
Code to analyze survival data for Giant gatersnakes, Thamnophis gigas in Sacramento County, California from 2018 to 2021 Code to analyze survival data for Giant gatersnakes, Thamnophis gigas in Sacramento County, California from 2018 to 2021
The purpose of this study was to estimate the survival of giant gartersnakes (Thamnophis gigas) prior to and following translocation, as well as to evaluate the use of captive rearing as a conservation tool for giant gartersnakes. We used Kaplan-Meier and Cox Proportional Hazards models to estimate survival rates and estimate the effects of group identity (marsh donor, rice donor, and
Egg thiamine content, length, weight and survival of steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to three methods of experimental thiamine supplementation in 2022 and egg thiamine content from three Oregon hatcheries in 2019 Egg thiamine content, length, weight and survival of steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to three methods of experimental thiamine supplementation in 2022 and egg thiamine content from three Oregon hatcheries in 2019
Early rearing of steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Oregon hatcheries is often problematic; fry can become emaciated and die during the period between hatch and first feed. Thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency has caused early mortality in salmonids; however, thiamine status of Oregon’s anadromous steelhead populations is currently unknown. We sampled eggs of 7-10 females during spawning...

Data release for "Effect of thermal and mechanical processes on hydraulic transmissivity evolution" Data release for "Effect of thermal and mechanical processes on hydraulic transmissivity evolution"
Laboratory flow-through tests were conducted during slide-hold-slide experiments in a conventional triaxial deformation configuration. Experiments were conducted on 1-inch diameter cylindrical cores of Westerly granite bisected by a sawcut oriented at 30 degrees from vertical. Tests were conducted at a constant confining pressure of 30 MPa with a 10 MPa pore fluid pressure. The pore...
