The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

These geospatial data depict surficial geologic materials in the Pennsylvania portion of the Allentown 30 x 60-minute quadrangle in eastern
MODFLOW-OWHM model used to simulate groundwater flow and evaluate storage in the Lucerne Valley Groundwater Basin, California MODFLOW-OWHM model used to simulate groundwater flow and evaluate storage in the Lucerne Valley Groundwater Basin, California
A three-dimensional groundwater flow model, MODFLOW-OWHM, was developed to provide a better understanding of the hydrogeology of the Lucerne Valley Groundwater Basin, California. The model was used to investigate the historical groundwater storage loss and subsidence associated with anthropogenic groundwater demands. The model was calibrated to 1942 through 2016 conditions. This USGS...
Digital subsurface data from previously published contour map of the top of the Wilcox Group, northern Gulf of Mexico coastal region Digital subsurface data from previously published contour map of the top of the Wilcox Group, northern Gulf of Mexico coastal region
The lower Paleogene Wilcox Group crops out around the northern edge of the Gulf of Mexico Basin and is a major coal-bearing unit and a primary oil and gas producer in the lower Paleogene section of the Gulf Coast region. The outcrop distribution of the Wilcox Group and other coal-bearing strata of the Gulf Coast region was compiled as part of a U.S. Geological Survey National Coal...
Wetland vegetation and elevation of Arcadia Marsh, Michigan (1995-2010) Wetland vegetation and elevation of Arcadia Marsh, Michigan (1995-2010)
Vegetation sampling and elevation data were collected to characterize the sedge-grass meadow of Arcadia Marsh, Arcadia, Michigan (USA), a drowned river mouth wetland near Lake Michigan. Wetland vegetation community data were collected by quadrat sampling in 1995, 2002, and 2010 and topographic data were collected via GPS and LIDAR positional data in 2010.
