Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Interagency Ecosystem LiDAR Monitoring (IntELiMon) Interagency Ecosystem LiDAR Monitoring (IntELiMon)
The IntELiMon team releases Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) derived datasets via the project's viewer daily. The datasets include multiple types of information related to each acquisition, including 3D point clouds, field observations, and surface and canopy fuel metrics in csv format. CSDGM FGDC XML metadata are included as a static accompanying file along with the dynamic datasets...
Multi-source geospatial dataset supporting random forest land cover classification in Alabama Wildlife Management Areas from 2008 to 2024 Multi-source geospatial dataset supporting random forest land cover classification in Alabama Wildlife Management Areas from 2008 to 2024
This dataset contains geospatial data compiled and generated to support supervised land cover classification and habitat monitoring across nine Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in Alabama. The dataset integrates Landsat 9 surface reflectance imagery acquired between May and July 2024, the 2021 National Land Cover Database (NLCD), NLCD-derived Tree Canopy Cover (TCC), a stacked predictor...
Data for Uranium-Lead Isotope Geochronology from Select Projects in Alaska Data for Uranium-Lead Isotope Geochronology from Select Projects in Alaska
This dataset consists of three tables containing sample information and uranium-lead (U-Pb) isotopic data and U-Pb ages measured in zircon collected from igneous rocks in Alaska. The samples were collected between 2019 and 2023 and analyzed by laser ablation inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) by GeoSep Services. The dataset includes 412 analyses across 13 samples...
Freshwater Drum Diet, Age, and Morphology Data in Lake Erie; 2017, 2021, and 2022 Freshwater Drum Diet, Age, and Morphology Data in Lake Erie; 2017, 2021, and 2022
Impacts of dreissenid mussels (Dreissena spp.) on Great Lakes ecosystems are well documented, but a better understanding of mechanisms that cause variation in mussel abundance is needed. An outstanding question is how much mussel biomass is consumed by predation. To date, attention has mainly focused on invasive Round Goby (Neogobius melanostomus) predation of mussels. Biomass of native
Data for Development of a Risk Model of Domestic Dog Attacks on Threatened Agassiz’s Desert Tortoises (Gopherus agassizii) in the Mojave and Colorado Deserts of California Data for Development of a Risk Model of Domestic Dog Attacks on Threatened Agassiz’s Desert Tortoises (Gopherus agassizii) in the Mojave and Colorado Deserts of California
The single database, assembled retrospectively between 2004 and 2007, which includes the following information: site name, desert region, distance (km) to the nearest settlement from the tortoise, unique identification number for the tortoise, sex, wear or aging class of the carapace, size of the tortoise, evidence of trauma to the gular horn and to shell and limbs, year collected, and...
Attributes of forest loss, gain, and persistence areas from 2010 to 2020 - Upper Mississippi River System Attributes of forest loss, gain, and persistence areas from 2010 to 2020 - Upper Mississippi River System
To support floodplain forest research and management actions on the Upper Mississippi River System (UMRS), areas of forest loss, gain and persistence at least 0.1 hectare in size from 2010 to 2020 were mapped and analyzed. This forest cover transition data will allow researchers the ability to examine rates and patterns of forest cover loss, gain, and persistence and compare multiple...
