Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Keamuku Maneuver Area vegetation, soil, and foliar data 2013-2016 Keamuku Maneuver Area vegetation, soil, and foliar data 2013-2016

This data release includes data and metadata on “(1) outplant survival, (2) post-disturbance percent cover, (3) post-disturbance shrub counts, (4) point-intercept vegetation data, (5) random plot coordinates, (6) soil chemistry and ratios, and (7) soil moisture. All sites were within Keamuku Maneuver Area on Hawaii Island. This study looked at how microtopography and biotic interactions...

MODFLOW 6 and MODPATH 7 model data sets used for the update of the groundwater-flow model for the Great Miami Buried-Valley Aquifer in the vicinity of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio MODFLOW 6 and MODPATH 7 model data sets used for the update of the groundwater-flow model for the Great Miami Buried-Valley Aquifer in the vicinity of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio

A previously constructed numerical model (https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/2007/1737a/) simulating the regional groundwater-flow system in the vicinity of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) near Dayton, Ohio, was updated to incorporate current hydrologic stresses and conditions and improve the usefulness of the model for water-supply planning and protection. The Great Miami buried...

Selected Chemical and Physical Properties and Inorganic Constituents and Time-Series Nitrate in Samples from selected wells and/or springs, Petaluma Valley watershed, Sonoma County, California, 1959-2015.

This data release contains appendix C1 and appendix C2 for the USGS Scientific Investigations Report (SIR) titled Hydrologic and Geochemical Characterization of the Petaluma River Watershed, Sonoma County, California. Appendix C1 contains selected chemical and physical properties and inorganic constituents in samples from selected springs, and wells, Petaluma Valley watershed, Sonoma...

Groundwater-quality data in the Coachella Valley Domestic Supply Aquifer Study Unit, 2020: Results from the California GAMA Priority Basin Project Groundwater-quality data in the Coachella Valley Domestic Supply Aquifer Study Unit, 2020: Results from the California GAMA Priority Basin Project

The U.S. Geological Survey collected groundwater samples from 38 wells used for domestic and small system drinking water supply in the Coachella Valley of California in 2020. The wells were sampled for the Coachella Valley Basin (CODA) Domestic Aquifer Study Unit of the California State Water Resources Control Board Groundwater Ambient Monitoring and Assessment (GAMA) Program Priority...

Water-Quality Data and Geophysical Logs for Determination of Saline Groundwater in Selected Aquifers in Texas, 2021 Water-Quality Data and Geophysical Logs for Determination of Saline Groundwater in Selected Aquifers in Texas, 2021

The availability of groundwater-quality data along with geophysical information for relatively deep wells (wells generally more than 300 feet deep) containing saline water (dissolved-solids concentrations greater than 2,000 milligrams per liter)) is limited throughout the state of Texas. Water-quality samples are important for calibrating estimates of groundwater salinity derived from...

Data for aerial dispersal of Lygodium microphyllum spores within Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, 2003 - 2004 Data for aerial dispersal of Lygodium microphyllum spores within Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, 2003 - 2004

Old World Climbing Fern (Lygodium microphyllum (Cav.) R. Br.) is an invasive plant species threatening South Florida ecosystems. In 1989 L. microphyllum was observed in the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. L. microphyllum has attributes that allow it to thrive in South Florida. It produces a huge number of small spores that are easily suspended by wind and...
