Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

2015-2017 lidar-derived imagery of karst areas in Puerto Rico at 1-meter resolution 2015-2017 lidar-derived imagery of karst areas in Puerto Rico at 1-meter resolution
This raster dataset contains 1-meter lidar-derived imagery of 7.5 minute quadrangles in karst areas of Puerto Rico and was created using geographic information systems (GIS) software. Lidar-derived elevation data, acquired between 2015 and 2017, were used to create a 1-meter resolution working digital elevation model (DEM). To create this imagery, a hillshade was applied and a...

Frequency domain electromagnetic induction (FDEM) geophysical data collected near the Agashashok River in the Noatak National Preserve, AK Frequency domain electromagnetic induction (FDEM) geophysical data collected near the Agashashok River in the Noatak National Preserve, AK
Frequency domain electromagnetic induction (FDEM) data were collected in September 2016 near the Agashashok River and its tributaries, within the Noatak National Preserve near Kotzebue, AK to aid in local permafrost mapping. Data were collected with a GEM-2 instrument (1.6 m coil separation, Geophex, Ltd.); a broadband sensor that measures the bulk conductivity and magnetic...
Assessment of fecal contamination sources to Alley Creek, Queens County, New York: Results from a sediment resuspension experiment, thermal imagery, and additional sample collection, 2020-2021 Assessment of fecal contamination sources to Alley Creek, Queens County, New York: Results from a sediment resuspension experiment, thermal imagery, and additional sample collection, 2020-2021
In cooperation with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) collected water and bed sediment samples along Alley Creek (Queens, New York) to help determine likely sources of fecal bacteria to the creek and Little Neck Bay. Potential terrestrial sources include stormwater, sewage via combined sewer overflow (CSO) and...
Regression tree datasets used to identify trophic states in Tennessee reservoirs Regression tree datasets used to identify trophic states in Tennessee reservoirs
This dataset was developed in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation to determine the susceptibility of selected Tennessee reservoirs to eutrophication and potential harmful algal blooms. A R script, based on recursive partitioning and the model-based boosting routine, was used to generate regression trees that grouped Tennessee reservoirs into five...
Kootenai River white sturgeon fine-scale habitat model archive Kootenai River white sturgeon fine-scale habitat model archive
Kootenai river hydraulic conditions were simulated using the iRIC FaSTMECH two-dimensional hydraulic flow model (Nelson, 2003). In addition to this study, FaSTMECH 2D flow models have been developed for numerous Kootenai River studies dating back to 2005. The methods used to develop, calibrate, and simulate FaSTMECH 2D flow models are described at length in multiple previous studies...
